Graphic Design Intern - Student Advantage
We'll help YOU grow through challenge and responsibility as you help us grow our fun, profitable, secure and dynamic business focusing on the needs of students in higher education at our convenient Boston location minutes from South Station. You will learn new skills and refine your existing ones. You can look forward to in depth exposure in marketing, creative development, affiliate acquisition and retention, customer acquisition and retention, direct sales and account management.

Focus on: Print layout and Design, Proof Reading, Web Layout & Design, Brand Management, Typography, Timeline Management and Project Management.

Essential duties include utilizing QuarkXpress layout templates and produce direct mail letters, envelopes and order forms, developing on-line marketing campaigns including banners and various graphics, assisting with updating existing off line marketing initiatives, such as University Marketing materials, supporting studentadvantage.com maintenance by developing and resizing graphics, managing overall logo database, archive and graphic standard folders, supporting development and implementation of Cardholder acquisition and retention initiatives and general office duties.

Qualifications: Qualifications: Ability to work 28 to 30 hours/wk. Experience with QuarkXpress, Photoshop, or other graphic layout programs (Mac platform only) and Illustrator, Excel, InDesign, and Word a plus (Mac platform only). Ability to multi-task and strong communication skills a must.

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma required and experience or educational background in communication arts, marketing, or design. One or more years of college preferred.

This is a paid internship opportunity. Position is eligible for college credit.

Marketing Research Intern
The Marketing intern provides marketing support to the Director of Marketing, Marketing Managers, and Corporate Events Manager. Duties include market and general research requirements, clerical, and project based work. The Marketing intern projects a professional company image through in-person and phone interaction with vendors, clients, and other CBORD staff members. The overall objective of the Marketing intern is to fulfill a variety of job duties to support the overall goal of the Marketing department.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design or related field. 1 year prior work experience Meeting/event management experience a plus. Computer software skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Graphics programs (e.g., Photoshop, PageMaker, InDesign, Adobe, etc. are a plus.
