University of Connecticut Chooses HMS CBORD
For Immediate Release
December 10, 1998Ithaca, New York—The CBORD Group, Inc., has announced the addition of the University of Connecticut to its Housing Management System (HMS) family. Headquartered in Ithaca, New York, The CBORD Group is the leading supplier of housing management systems and campus-wide ID systems to close to 500 colleges and universities across the United States and Canada.
The University of Connecticut has purchased four modules of HMS--the Facilities and Residents module, the Automatic Assignments module, the Financial Transaction Batch Processing module, and the Data Interface module. HMS CBORD will enhance customer service, giving the University of Connecticut the ability to make the best roommate matches, and increase productivity and efficiency. Additionally, the Financial Transaction Batch Processing module will eliminate the time needed to calculate resident fees by hand and allow fees to be sent automatically to the University of Connecticut's campus accounting system for billing.
A modular system, HMS CBORD, is comprised of six modules. This allows institutions to develop a housing system at a pace that suits the campus and the budget. HMS CBORD is now available for Microsoft Windows 95 and Windows NT.
