ServiceMaster Selects CBORD for Foodservice Software Solutions

Ithaca, New York—ServiceMaster Healthcare, the nation's leading provider of managed services for hospitals and long-term care facilities, recently selected The CBORD Group to provide Windows®-based foodservice management software. To date, ServiceMaster has rolled out the new CBORD system at 160 sites nationwide.

CBORD's system automates production and planning in addition to purchasing, issuing, and inventory procedures. A client for 14 years, ServiceMaster found that CBORD is still the right choice. "The greatest financial impact is in the system's ability to control costs," said Rob Hamilton, COMPAS Support Engineer at ServiceMaster. "You can see the pre-service cost on the screen as you build the menu. You can see what's happening as you adjust your menu mix and portion size. That's a really great feature."

The CBORD product is easy to use, which facilitates training efforts so clients are quick to realize benefits. "I think one of the biggest benefits is the ease of training and people being really excited about using the product," Hill said. "They're pleased with the ease of the system—particularly with building menus—you just drag and drop all the elements into place."

Because CBORD's foodservice software works in tandem with its clinical and nutrition applications, CBORD is the system of choice for many healthcare facilities across the country.
