SUNY University at Buffalo Introduces Online Catering Event Management with CBORD

Ithaca, New York—The CBORD Group, Inc., the leading provider of food service and catering management software to colleges and universities, is pleased to announce that the State University of New York University at Buffalo (UB) recently unveiled new branding and online functionality for its catering business unit, Three Pillars Catering.

Managed by UB’s Campus Dining & Shops (CDS), Three Pillars Catering introduced its new look and features to the campus community at a special event drawing more than 350 attendees from departments across campus. Held in UB’s Center for Tomorrow, the event featured the full Three Pillars Catering menu available for sampling, computers allowing attendees to explore the new threepillarscatering.com website, and live demonstrations of new online event management capabilities which will be launched campus-wide on March 22, 2010.

UB selected NetCatering® from CBORD® to power its new online functionality. The customizable site allows the university to match the site’s branding to its own standards and empower users to place catering orders, make changes, and even manage “favorites” from the convenience of their own computers. Besides saving labor in the catering department previously spent manning phone lines and answering emails, the online solution makes it more convenient than ever for customers to order catering services and enjoy a consistent, high-quality experience.

Already a user of CBORD’s EventMaster® catering management software, UB selected NetCatering largely due to its full integration with the solution. Event orders placed in NetCatering are passed directly to EventMaster to pull from current menus, simplify billing, and much more.
