For Immediate Release
April 1, 2010
Ithaca, New York—The CBORD Group, Inc., the leading provider of campus card and integrated security solutions to colleges, universities, and healthcare facilities, is pleased to announce that its Squadron® access control system has been found to comply with industry electrical and operational safety standards. The Squadron panel powers CS Access™, CBORD®'s leading IP-based access control solution used by colleges and universities around the world.
The Squadron access control system hardware is ETL listed to UL294 and CSA C22.2 No. 205 in the US and Canada. These listings represent industry standards for electrical and operational safety for access control systems. In order to receive the certification, an independent Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) evaluated the product and has determined it meets the requirements of both standards.
"We find it of the utmost importance to ensure the products we offer meet or exceed all applicable safety standards, and this ETL listing is further proof that the Squadron access control system provides our customers with the highest levels of security," says Cindy McCall, Vice President of Marketing, The CBORD Group, Inc. "Furthermore, the listings mean that Squadron can be installed without question or further testing needed to ensure compliance."
