JOB DESCRIPTION:
Systems Administrator for JMU's Card Services department. I maintain seven servers related to our CS Gold implementation. I manage the Oracle instance including customization of the baseline product. I also write custom reports for end-users, act as project manager for new equipment installations, and generally serve as a point of contact for most things related to Gold.
PERSONAL: I was born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley on the western side of Virginia. My hometown still doesn't have a stoplight! I joined the US Navy ten days after graduation and served for six years. I am a Desert Storm/Desert Shield veteran. After leaving the Navy, I stayed in California for a few years, living in Anaheim, CA. I moved back to Virginia in 1993 and stayed. My hobbies include reading, exercising, and anything related to computers. I am married and have an 18 year old son.
