Connecting NSS/FSS Service Tallies  (View Presentation / Handout)
Tallies forecasting future meals are crucial to tell the production staff how many portions of each item to prepare. That information affects purchasing requirements, staffing needs, and many other aspects of foodservice management. A tally of a meal after it's been served is also important for accounting purposes, to develop better forecasting methods, and to track inventory. NSS has four options available to interface tally information to FSS Service menus. After this session you will be able to: understand the four types of NSS tallies that integrate with FSS, and determine which service tallies are appropriate to your operation.

Implementing holiday meals with the Nutrition Service Suite has become easier with the copy cycle feature.  This session will outline the steps in creating and testing your holiday menu well in advance of the holiday meal.  Once the holiday meals have been created, you will learn how to use your new menu for multiple holidays through scheduling in the cycle manager.

Pattern Fixing is a process in which the system adjusts patient meal selections so that a meal’s nutrient or dietary exchange totals match the patient’s prescribed pattern diet or meal goals. This session will review how the CBORD Nutrition Service Suite software can educate your staff and patients through menu exchange information and selection totals on screens and reports. Also, we will demonstrate some typical pattern diet scenarios with tray tickets.
