UGC 2011 - Excellence Award Winners

At CBORD’s 32nd annual User Group Conference (UGC), The CBORD Group, Inc., recognized three outstanding clients for their ingenuity in using CBORD systems and their dedicated contributions to the CBORD user community.

One CBORD Award   |   Iowa State University

Iowa State University (ISU) was honored with the One CBORD award for their implementation of such systems as Webfood®, NetCatering®, BarTender, Foodservice Suite®, NetNutrition®, and CS Gold®. As ISU’s systems have grown, it has become apparent just how crucial CBORD’s integrated systems are: not having to integrate disparate systems from multiple vendors themselves has saved ISU money, time, and labor, and has helped to ensure accuracy.

Visionary Award  |  St. Jude Medical Center

The St. Jude team was recognized with the Visionary award for being a pioneer in developing a hybrid room service process. Using CBORD Room Service on tablets, they developed a process that has increased patient satisfaction and helped streamline ordering and inventory. Additionally, the St. Jude team has implemented an extremely successful payroll deduction program, resulting in 85 percent of employees using the system.

Above & Beyond Award   |  Rosie Niz, Sutter Health Sacramento Sierra Region

Rosie was recognized with the Above & Beyond award for her expertise in managing an enterprise system and keeping six hospital networks running smoothly, resulting in improved efficiencies and lower costs for the Sacramento Sierra Region. Rosie has learned how to query the CBORD database and create reports for management.  One especially useful report she created compares meal costs between the six hospitals. Rosie’s expertise with the CBORD system has helped to support operational improvements across the board.
