CBORD Strengthens Leadership Team Capitalizing on 2016 Growth; Positions for 2017
CBORD®, the leading provider of software for higher education, healthcare, senior living, and business campuses, is pleased to announce a series of appointments for two new executives and the promotion of an existing executive to its leadership team. Rob DeCarlo, joins the company as the Vice President of Finance, and John Whisner joins as the Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing. Larry Delaney will take on a new role as Vice President of Strategy, Markets, and Solutions. Delaney had previously been serving as CBORD’s Vice President and General Manager of Cashless Systems. DeCarlo, Whisner, and Delaney will report to Jim Hoefflin, President, and join the leadership teams for both CBORD and Horizon.

Rob DeCarlo will be responsible for uniting and advancing finance, planning, and accounting functions across CBORD and Horizon. DeCarlo is well versed in successfully grouping, balancing, and managing complex business segments as he comes to CBORD and Horizon with 18 years of corporate finance experience—the most recent nine years spent at MedAssets. DeCarlo also held positions with EarthLink and Intel, and has an MBA from Duke University and a BBA in finance from The University of Texas at Austin.
John Whisner will be responsible for leading the Sales and Marketing operations for both CBORD and Horizon. Whisner’s energetic discipline and wealth of experience in leading high-performing sales and marketing teams over the past 25 years within diverse markets will propel CBORD and Horizon toward a more coordinated customer focus, with blanketing account coverage, and the generation of new clientele. As the former Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Empower Software Solutions, Whisner honed his skillset by focusing on enterprise level, multi-million dollar solutions and SaaS contracts. Prior to Empower, Whisner’s roles included Vice President of National Sales for Recall, and Senior Vice President of Sales for Ceridian. Whisner is a Veteran of the United States Army and graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte – Belk College of Business.
Larry Delaney, a 25-year veteran in the software and technology industry and four-year veteran of CBORD, will synthesize all market inputs into a more collaborative and accelerated plan of solutions. Delaney will continue to focus on developing partner relationships and product strategies ensuring CBORD’s and Horizon’s flexibility in response to an increasingly demanding marketplace. With Delaney’s leadership, CBORD and Horizon will be creating the most effective and sophisticated solutions possible for its customers and markets.
With new executives comes the imperative of new perspective and hands on experience, and CBORD and Horizon intend to accelerate into its 2017–2018 markets with a more coordinated solution set and competitive go-to-market strategies.
