Free HE Connect Workshops Enter Their Third Year
Higher Ed Connect kicks off its third year in February at Clemson University! These free regional workshops have been held in various forms through the years but took shape as an annual spring event in 2018.
The purpose of Connect events is to provide a mid-year update on CBORD technology, development efforts, and new partnerships. They also allow the user community to network with peers from their region and engage with CBORD team members in a small group setting.
Plans for five HE Connects are underway:
- February 4 – Clemson University (Clemson, SC)
- February 19-20 – Texas Christian University (Fort Worth, TX)
- March 5 – Otis College of Art and Design (Los Angeles, CA)
- March 26 – Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Cambridge, MA) - Postponed until further notice
- June 2 – Illinois Institute of Technology (Chicago, IL)
Each HE Connect begins with CBORD-led presentations on product updates and enhancements. This year, we’ll address how to create an enriching student experience through technology, ways to turn your campus card program into a revenue-generating machine, and why self-service ordering can strengthen your on-campus dining program.
We’ll also provide an update on the success of our three campuses that launched student IDs in Apple Wallet last fall. Clemson University, the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and the University of Vermont completed a full rollout of mobile credentials in October. Additionally, we’ll discuss the future of mobile credentials and how we’re expanding this technology in 2020.
HE Connect gives customers a platform to share their own achievements with the group. The afternoon includes peer-led presentations on CBORD-related projects, providing other users with an in-depth look at how this technology is being applied on campus.
